It has been a while since I have posted anything here and mainly due
the things catching up on me in life. Well,
you get the drift.
Things happen, life goes on and there are things that just hang around
longer, haunting the living daylights out of you.
Things that could throw you off your chair or have you gripping it
harder on the edges, or jolt you awake in the middle of the night and even send
that wave of electric trickling your bloodstream, startling and just makes you
shudder when the mere thought of it comes into your mind.
Things like that.
Post traumatic stress disorders are very real and are not to be simply
brushed off with mere ignorance.
There are many things happening around the world and impact each and
every individual in a extremely different way. While one could not be bothered
by the occurrence, another could be waking up in cold sweat just even having
that thought creep into their mind.
It is not easy to just push it to the back of one’s mind after an
incident like that.
It is always easy to tell someone to just let go and relax, for one
could not change the fact that it has happened.
When it comes to dealing with it ourselves, the part about letting go
and putting it all behind becomes more than just a saying or a piece of advice
to the other person. It is of course, always easier to be the third person.
After all, it is not you.
Coming to terms with the incident could be a start and that itself
could be more strenuous than moving a mountain. It is just so difficult.
Time of course will always be the best healer, and there is only time
which can dilute the impact and memories of an incident.
Life is just like that, things come and go and things always do happen.
There is no such thing about being the third party all the time and
that only good things happen to us and bad things don’t.
There is no anticipating of when good or bad things will happen and
there is no way that any one of us can prepare for it. It can just happen at
any moment, though we often say that it is when we least expect it.
Life is full of highs and lows, just like the tide.
Nobody hopes for bad things to happen; be it to themselves or to
others.
(No, seriously, I hope that no one prays for bad things to happen even
to their worst nemeses)
All we can do is just ride on the life journey and just embrace
whatever that comes, with an open mind.
Life really does goes on, and the most important is always to have that
key takeaway to learn from each and every incident which hit us; the good, the
bad and the ugly.
It is all these experiences which form our life’s perspectives and make
us into who we are and if noted positively, it will definitely make us a better
person from today.
P.S: I am on the run lately, and that means lots of new stories and posts in the making that I can't wait to share very soon!
